1. What are you doing and why? 2. What do you need to prepare before the shoot I was the producer/art director on the set. This meant I was in charge of setting up props and making sure everything was in the right place for the shots. I would do tasks that the director asked me to do and check the shots to make sure everything looked good. I did all these thing so the shoot would go smoother and would be a calm atmosphere. One thing I did was buy different vegetables for the the set that the mother was going to be cutting up and using for the shoot Another thing that I did was go through the shot list and edited our sbots to make sure we had every shot we wanted to film and sent them to our group so they could do the storyboard
3. What material do you need to take with you? 4. Why is your role so important Material we needed: - All the vegetables – tomatoes, carrot, onions, fake hands, scrabble, wine, meats, apron operation game Storyboard and shot list of the planned shoot day so we could have a checklist for the day - Make sure all the actors were ready and in their costumes and. Were prepared for the day I was important in the shoot because I helped organize the set and was there to help all the rest of my team Another reason I was important was because I bought the ingredients we need for our shoot we used and filmed so if we didn’t have them then our shoot would have looked boring.
5. Is there anything you can foresee that will be possibly challenging on your shoot day 6.How are you going to use the correct genre conventions One thing that could be challenging is working with a young actor because they easily loose concentration and get bored delaying our process for filming. Another challenge could be time management and filming all the shots that we need to film and getting it all done in time As well as if we forgot any props as we were getting the meat the day before the shoot so it would be fresh One way we would use the correct genre convention is through sound as when we filmed the scenes of the hands in the fridge and their eye contact we plan to use music that creates suspense and tension foreshadowing danger. At the end as well we plan to have the police knock on the door which further creates mystery.
7. How are you within your role going to target your audience and their expectations We would target our audience through the horror convention as our idea if a about a mother and father who kill people and cook the evidence to give to their kid. It would target those who enjoy the psychological horrors and deep and darker ideas like cannibalism Age for our idea would be 17- 30
