Conventions of Thriller • Convention are what the audience expects to see in your film and they follow a certain criteria • This is true of every film and every genre • The common convention of the thriller is lowkey is low key lighting, quick cuts, shadows, tension music, change in angles and shots, Diegetic sound of breathing , montage shots
COSTUME OUR ACTORS WORE: • MUM: Beige silk blouse, black pencil skirt, small black heels, hair curled, red lipstick and nails • DAD: White collared shirt, navy wool polo jumper, bkack trousers and work shoes • OLDER SON : Navy jumper, baggy jumper and white trainer, necklace, bracelet and rings • YOUNGER SON: Navy t-shirt and black shorts
Character Inspiration z Our Character
Lighting Natural light, lots of white with the bold colour being from the clothes Desaturated as it was set in 1785 so lots of grayscale to fit the old English aesthetic Warm, cozy aesthetic with a very vintage feel fits the early 2000 late 90s image z
Our Lighting We used the lighting similar to ‘A Simple Favor” a neutral scheme and in natural lighting and as well as Sweeney Todd with it having a dark undertone to show the looming mystery and darkness
