  2. A student with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their streams in school are eligible to pursue a career in astronomy. B.Sc. in physics or an engineer with B.E./B.Tech with aptitude in the subject can enroll in master’s programs. Post-graduation programs include M.Sc. in Astronomy & Astrophysics. It can be followed up by a doctoral program that at least takes four years to complete. Integrated Ph.D. Program (I.Ph.D.) is also possible in this field wherein your master’s course merges into the doctoral program.
