  1. Simulation Studies of Au+Au At 200 GeV Outline: Simulation Chain Hit level PMD Characteristic Clustering output MIP In Simulation MIP Optimization PMD Acceptance factors Centrality Selection Photon Counting Efficiency and Purity DATA PMD collaboration meeting VECC Sunil Dogra

  2. Simulation Chain • Generated 20k minbias 0-20fm events at 200 GeV using HIJING event generator with default settings and π0 decay on. • Pass these particles through the GEANT(STARSIM) with all detectors Y2004 geometry which gives output in zebra format. • Run bfC(Big Full Chain) with Dr. Phatak’s Clustering routine to get the .event.root, geant.root as out put. • Read the PMD and other global information. PMD Collaboration Meeting VECC Sunil dogra

  3. Hit Level PMD Charactersitics from Simulation • Incident Photons • Main source π0 • Other sources are ω, K0, η PMD Collaboration Meeting VECC Sunil dogra
