  4. FIRST WEEK ON THE JOB: • Report to the Supervisor for job assignments • Introduce yourself • Asks what to do • Listen to directions • Take notes

  5. FIRST WEEK ON THE JOB: You havequestions???? Your boss hasanswers!!!

  6. FIRST WEEK ON THE JOB: • Do not ask for personal time • Do not call in sick • Do not ask for favors • Do not dress inappropriately • Do not become a problem!

  7. FIRST WEEK ON THE JOB: Come to work well rested and ready to go! Fuel the body for work with good foods through out the day!

  8. FIRST WEEK ON THE JOB: Remember all jobs and people…..

  9. FIRST WEEK ON THE JOB: ……are important and needed!!!

FIRST WEEK ON THE JOB: • Remember you competed to get this job and to keep this job, so…. • Work hard to keep job • Dress nicer than other employees • Volunteer for other work • Try to be first person in and last person out • Do not ask people for personal favors or information (or give personal favors and information)

  11. FIRST WEEK ON THE JOB: • Remember this is work and not school and these are co-workers not friends, so…. • Be polite to everyone • Be respectful to everyone • Listen & Learn – gain experience • Share knowledge & skills • Ask to borrow others equipment • Use Sunday School language

  12. FIRST WEEK ON THE JOB: Bike Bus Always have reliable transportation because, Car/taxi Walk

  13. FIRST WEEK ON THE JOB: Broke down Flat tire Employers want results (you there), not excuses! Dead battery Out of Gas

  14. FIRST WEEK ON THE JOB: • You made a commitment when accepting a job it means: • Your work time comes before play time • You will work out family and work scheduling conflicts • You are still responsible for good school work • You are a responsible young adult and should appreciate this opportunity to work
