The Need For Priorities • Our lives are full of distractions, numerous demands and busy schedules – “busy here and there” • We have time-saving devices, but we have less time for the important • We must separate the important from the trivial; the worthwhile from the waste; the primary from the secondary; the good from the best

  4. Make Time For God • God’s Way (Jn. 14:6; Ac. 9:2) • God’s Work (Jn. 9:4; Eph. 2:10) • God’s Worship (Psa. 122:1; Mt. 22:34ff) • God’s Word (Psa. 63:6; 119:15)

  5. Make Time For Family • Work (Prov. 6:6-11; 1 Tim. 5:8) • Teaching (Gen. 18:19; Prov. 1:8-9; Eph. 6:4; 2 Tim. 1:5; Tit. 2:4-5) • Association (Eccl. 9:9; Psa. 128:3)

  6. Make Time For Christians • Work (Mt. 25:34ff; Gal. 6:10; 1 Tim. 6:17-19) • Teaching (Ac. 5:42) • Association (Rom. 12:13; 1 Pet. 4:8-9; Heb. 10:25)

Things That Matter MostHow Do We Know What Matters Most? • Is it a treasure on earth, or in heaven (Mt. 6:19)? • Is it serving God or mammon (Mt. 6:24,33)? • Are you choosing the sacred or the secular (Lk. 9:59-62; 10:41-42) • Does it have the promise of this life only, or the life to come (1 Tim. 4:8; Col. 3:1)? • Does it focus on the inner man or the outer man (Prov. 31:30; 1 Pet. 3:2-5)?
