Japan1 Hakone museum 1

The Hakone Open-Air Museum opened in 1969 as the first open-air art museum in Japan. The museum's collections include about 100 masterpieces of Rodin, Bourdelle, Miro, Henry Moore and others in the garden; and Brancusi, Morie Ogiwara, Boccioni, Lipchitz, Modigliani, Shin Hongo and others inside.

The Hakone Open Air Museum (Hakone Chōkoku No Mori Bijutsukan), successfully attempts to create a harmonic balance of nature and art by exhibiting various sculptures on its spacious grounds in combination with beautiful views of the surrounding valley and mountains. Hakone Open-Air Museum is Japan's first open-air museum, opened in 1969
