  4. PIO Network A mechanism to utilize PIOs from all the agencies to network their resources and speak as one for the Governor and the State as a whole.

  5. PIO Network • Governor’s Communications Director • State Agency PIOs • National Guard • Coordination with local, tribal, private & federal PIOs

  6. Local Incident - deploy state agency representative -refer requests for information to local government

  7. Major Event Activate ECC ICS

  8. Tools & Techniques -Video teleconferences with local officials -Criminal Justice Information Network (CJIN) -Emergency Alert System (EAS) -National Weather Service -511 road reports -Internet direct and websites -use existing groups ie. drought task force, NRCG -develop guides before event Anthrax West Nile Virus Dirty bombs
