  1. October 25, 2012 DLT: I can identify and apply various literary devices in order to interpret a poem’s meaning.

  2. Bell Ringer • You will need your clickers! • Complete numbers 48-50

  3. Announcements • If you were in Mrs. Barnes group on Wednesday or Thursday, you will report back to Mrs. Barnes. • The rest of the class (periods 2,3,and 7) will go to the library to check out a book. • 4th, 5th and 6th periods will check out books on Monday.

  4. Poetic Device Review • Divide a plain white sheet of paper into 8 squares. • On each square, define the poetic devices listed (on your poetic device review sheet handout), give an example of the device, and provide an illustration of the device

  5. Literary Terms Worksheet • On your own sheet of paper, list the literary device that is being used (on the literary terms worksheet).

  6. PAT time/Make Up • Use this time wisely!!!! • If I see that you are not using your time wisely, we will not continue PAT time. • You must have all work turned in before you participate in PAT time.
