  3. WHAT IS SOUTHINGTON SERVES? This is a volunteer opportunity website designed by youth, for youth.

  6. It’s BENEFITS INCLUDE… Building Assets: #3: Adult Role Models #7: Community Values Youth #8: Youth as Resources #9: Service to Others & many more! Which is why we’re here today. Youth as Resources is an important asset. You are all able to do something positive for Southington.

Southington Serves has some great options! • You could… • Help out at a Rock Cats baseball game • Sell raffle tickets at a Bowlathon tournament • Garden by the Quinnipiac River with “Save the Sound” • Hand out waters at a 5k walk/run • Work with “Bread for Life” to sort foods after a drive • Unload donated food with “United Way of Southington” • Work on a database/computer work for the Fire Department • YMCA Camp Sloper trail maintenance • &many more!

Ask if they’d join you to volunteer. • Make a call or write an email to the organization to sign up! • Finally, let your classmates know about your experience.
