ALGEBRA by Marina and Tatyana period 4. Algebra?. Algerba is the branch of math which subsitutes letters for unknown numbers in equations. There are many ways to use Algebra. Sometimes it can be used to find percent or it can be used to solve quadtratic equations.

  2. Algebra?

  3. Algerba is the branch of math which subsitutes letters for unknown numbers in equations.

  4. There are many ways to use Algebra. Sometimes it can be used to find percent or it can be used to solve quadtratic equations. You can use Algebra to find fractions. Like this: Algebra! It's fun and easy, Chii. See?

  5. Two times two? That’s right. And that becomes four. But algebra can be used for many other things too. Finding percents is very similar to fractions.

  6. This is what you do if you have a problem that involes percent, such as this one: There are 20 students in a class. 25% of them failed the final. How many students failed the final? If there are 20 students in the class, then the 20 equals 100%. 25% out of 100% of students failed the test. Otherwise, one fourth of the students failed the test. One fourth out of twenty is five.

  7. If I was to write out that last problem, it would look something like this.

  8. Now, another way to use algebra is to use it in algebraic epressions. This is an algebraic expression. It cannot be an equation because it does not equal to anything.
