  • 10 are centralized, (3 have 1 FTE; 7 have 2 FTE)
  • pre-award services + some post-award
  • 1 decentralized model - 1 FTE/each of 5 colleges
  • 12 independent colleges & universities – 2 offices

  • In 2004, Oklahoma was 49th in the nation!SOURCE – NSF 2003
  • We have a growing grants culture
    • state conferences: 2004 = 1; 2007 = 6
    • national rank 49th to 45th
    • 2 more sponsored programs offices
    • 4.0 added FTE
    • 2 major promotions to VP level
    • from 4 to 6 UG Research fairs
