St. Teresa Benedicta Parish, Mbezi-Msumi

St. Teresa Benedicta of the cross is a full-fledged parish in Mbezi-Msumi, Tanzania. Serving a community of farmers and small business owners, the parish focuses on administering sacraments, conducting seminars, visiting the sick, and more. With future plans of constructing a parish church and promoting Marian devotion, the parish faces challenges in bringing people to sacramental marriage and mobilizing financial resources for development.

They too struggle to get pure drinking water, they use the available salty water for drinking and cooking and the daily uses. When we took up the parish, there were few faithful actively involving in the activities of the church. Now we see the improvement in their participation in the parish activities. We are also happy to note the government has facilitated electricity in an around Msumi. This happened very recently, Because of this facility people come to settle in Msumi parish and we feel the faithful increase in number.
