  1. ASD/AIA S3000L Steering Committee(S3000L_SC01) 11.04.-14.04.2011 – Paris, GIFAS S4000M – History of development Cassidian Air Systems

  2. ASD S4000MScheduled Maintenance Analysis The specification S4000M is designed to cover the activities of a Scheduled Maintenance Analysis (SMA) process. The concept of this specification was originated in 2006. 24.06.2009 Publication of S4000M, Issue 0.1, in Brussels(together with ASD/AIA S3000L) 2010 Commenting phase and harmonization with international organizations (e.g. ATA, MSG-3 group) 12/2010 End of incorporation of comments (ca. 50-60 extended technical comments) 01/2011 End of editorial finalization of issue 1.0 ??/2011 Publication of issue 1.0 (depends on ATA/MSG-3 related constraints) 2012 Issue 1.1 with new chapter OPM (Optimization of Preventive Maintenance during in-service)

  3. ASD S4000MScheduled Maintenance Analysis - Content • The specification S4000M is designed to cover the activities of a • Scheduled Maintenance Analysis (SMA) process. • Specification is devided in 3 main chapters plus one chapter in preparation: • System and powerplant analysis • Structure analysis • Zonal analysis • Optimization of Preventive Maintenance (OPM) - new

  4. FC = Failure Cause EFC = External Failure Cause ASD S4000MIdentification of critical failures / failure causes of a system end effects ASD S4000MMSG-3 (zivil) Top Down investigation of failure effects and validation of failure Advantage: also external failure causes are considered MSG-2 (civil), RCM (military) Bottom up investigation of failure causes next higher effects failure effects The considered failures can be relevant for: SafetyS4000M, MSG-3 and RCM Ecology and lawnew in S4000M ! Mission and operation S4000M, MSG-3 and RCM Economy S4000M, MSG-3 and RCM relevant for certification relevant for qualification (acceptance)

  5. Zones ASD S4000MStructure of S4000M chapters Chapter I Introduction Chapter V Definitions and abbreviations Chapter II System and Powerplant Analysis Chapter III Structure Analysis Chapter IV Zonal Analysis Remark: MSG-3 and RCM analysis show gaps concerning Structure and Zonal Analysis.  often specific rules and extensions must be implemented for projects (e.g. by a Project Procedure Handbook - PPH for A380 at Airbus)

  6. basic information for OPM activities OPM process Adjustment of Scheduled Maintenance because of OPM results ASD S4000MASD S4000M and OPM (Optimization of Preventive Maintenance) Operational data OPM process will be integrated into S4000M as an own chapter (in the next issue). Documentation of original results of SMA as LSA tasks with interval, MTA undpackaging of the tasks Maintenance concept ! IMPORTANT ! In the LSA database, the complete view on scheduled maintenance is documented: Single tasks with original interval / packaging / OPM adjustment(traceability to original task is guaranteed by complete documentation within LSA database)

  7. ASD S4000MRelations of the ILS disciplines and corresponding specifications In-service experience Optimization of scheduled maintenance Optimization of non-scheduled maintenance OPM process System & Powerplant Analysis Structure Analysis Zonal Analysis OPM Maintenance concept Tasks Tasks Tasks Tasks …
