  2. Please turn to page 5 in your Science Notebook. Title this page “Science Safety Rules”

  3. Answer the following question in your notebook: • Why is it important to know the safety rules and procedures in the Science Lab?

  4. Write the following rules in your science notebook on page 5.

  5. Rule #1 I will act responsibly at all times during science activities.

  6. Rule #2 I will follow the teacher’s instructions and lab instructions carefully.

  7. Rule #3 I will wear safety goggles and protective clothing appropriately when instructed to do so.

  8. Rule #4 I know the class emergency plan and will notify the teacher of any emergency.

  9. Rule #5 I will tie back long hair, remove jewelry, and wear closed-toed shoes when instructed to do so.

  10. Rule #6 I will not taste, eat, or inhale substances during science class unless instructed to do so by the teacher.

  11. Rule #7 I will tell the teacher if I see someone or something that is unsafe.
