Stream Requirements *Graduation Thesis I & II shall replace the Final Year Project I & II to fulfill the graduation requirements. ^Students can use up to 9 units of courses taken to fulfill both their major requirements and the elective requirements of the ELITE Stream. • Students are required to complete a minimum of 21 units of courses as follows: 2

ESTR Course Withdrawal Arrangement • If the students decided to opt out from the ESTR course and switch back to the parent one, he/she should get the consent from the course teacher no later than week 9 • If approved, the student shall then sit for the final examination of the parent course and be assessed together with other students without prejudice (if applicable)

Retention Policy All ELITE students (both current and new) have to comply with the retention policies set out below: a) CGPA Requirement Maintain a CGPA of at least 3.3 after enrolling in the ELITE stream b) ESTR Course Requirement Take at least two ESTR courses per academic year (each of ESTR 4998 and ESTR 4999 is counted as one ESTR course) c) Activity Requirement participate in at least one Faculty/Stream-related activity per term *A student’s ELITE status will be reviewed every term **Once a student’s ELITE status is revoked, he/she will not be allowed to join the ELITE Stream again.

  5. Retention Policy –c) Activity Requirement • If students would like to use non-ELITE activities to fulfill the activity requirement, they need to get prior approval from the Stream Director • Send supporting documents to the Stream Director for final approval after completion of the pre-approved activity • The above two-step approval MUST be completed on or before 30 June each year, no late submission will be considered!
