  1. Chinese Culinary Arts/ Cuisine(Zhōngguó de pēngrènyìshùhéměishí)

  2. Origin and history(De qǐyuánhélìshǐ) • Chinese food is not only a tradition, but has also spread across the world, to the United States and other countries. (Zhōngguó de shípǐnbùjǐnshìyīzhǒngchuántǒng, dànyěbiànbùshìjiègèdì, měiguóhéqítāguójiā) • Taste, texture, aroma and color are 4 main parts of Chinese food that are looked highly upon. (Wèidào, zhídì, xiāngwèihéyánsè de 4 gèzhǔyàobùfèndōuxiǎndefēichánghòu de zhōngguóshípǐn.)

  3. The actual food (Shíjìliángshí) • The Chinese eat a lot of rice and noodles, but they are not without their vegetables such as different herbs for seasonings to cabbage. (Zhōngguórénchīlehěnduōmǐfànhuòmiàntiáo, dàntāmenyěbùshìméiyǒutāmen de shūcài, rúbáicàitiáowèiliàobùtóng de cǎoyào.) • There are different regions in Chinese that have different foods and traditions. (Zhèshìzàizhōngguó de bùtóngdìqū, yǒubùtóng de shíwùhéchuántǒng.)

  4. Chinese to America (Zhōngguódàoměiguó) • As I said, America has incorporated Chinese food into our every day lives, though it may not be how it was traditionally prepared, it has still made it’s mark. (Zhèngrúwǒsuǒshuō de, měiguóyǐjīngjiàngzhōngguó de shíwùjìnrùwǒmen de rìchángshēnghuó, suīrántākěnéngbùshìchuántǒngshàngzhǔnbèirúhé, tāháishìtā de biāojì.) • American food is considered very simple to Chinese food, which is very complicated. (Měiguó de shípǐnbèirènwéishìfēichángjiǎndān de zhōngguócài, zhèshìfēichángfùzá de.)

  5. Why is it important? (Wèishémehěnzhòngyào?) • In Chinese culture, they are known for their willingness to eat anything, plant or animal, even insect. (Zàizhōngguówénhuàzhōng, tāmenbèichēngwèitāmenyuànyìchīrènhédōngxi, zhíwùhuòdòngwù, shènzhìkūnchóng.) • And through their culture and food preparation, they tend to use almost all parts of the plant or animal. (Tōngguòtāmen de wénhuàhézhǔnbèishíwù, tāmenwǎngwǎnghuìshǐyòngjīhūsuǒyǒu de zhíwùhuòdòngwù.)
