Information prior to day surgery - are patients satisfied?

This study examines the satisfaction of patients in day surgery with the anaesthetic information they receive prior to their surgery. The data collected includes demographics, attendance at pre-assessment clinic, type of surgery, information received, patient concerns, and overall satisfaction levels.

  5. Objectives Are all patients seen in pre-assessment? Do they receive anaesthetic information pre-operatively? Are they satisfied with this information?

  6. Data collection • October 2009 • 100 day surgery patients • Questionnaire completed post-operatively • Data collected over 7 consecutive week days
