  7. Career Development • 9th Grade = Career Paper (in some English classes) • 10th Grade = • Job Shadow Orientation (fall) • Career Connections (January @ UW Sheboygan or LTC) • Career Cruising (ongoing career exploration) • PLAN Test - practice ACT (optional – in November/December)

Career Exploration Websites(available to students and parents) • Career Cruising • www.sheboygan.k12.wi.us/north • go to “Counseling Center” then go to " Portfolio LOGIN" • ENTER • USERNAME = SASD-student’s first initial, last name and 6 digit id# (ex = SASD-ttagel123456) • PASSWORD = student’s 6 digit id# (ex = 123456) • Assessments / “Careers that Interest Me” • Schools that interest me • Career Preparation • Activities and Hobbies • Work and Volunteer Experiences • Resume Builder • “Course Planner” – used for selecting courses

  9. Grade 10 Course Selection • W have gone green!! Check us out at: • http://www.sheboygan.k12.wi.us/north • Students will receive their course sign up info for next year during the 1st week of 2nd semester – parents and students can do this now. • Careful selection - hopefully with parent input, approval, and/or involvement • Required Courses = already listed • Alternate Courses = required - in case the student does not get the course they initially want then we have their second or even third choice. • Course Listing = on the back • Zero Period Option

Course Selection BookletAll is now online!! • Some Important Pages: • Page 1 = Names and Numbers (Administrators and Counselors) • Page 2 & 3 = Advanced Standing Programs and a listing of courses participating in those programs here at NHS • Page 4 = Graduation Requirements and Graduation Criteria • Page 5 = Course Retake Policy, College Recommended Courses, and College Testing Info • Pages 6-10= Much More Info: Helpful Websites, Weighted Grade Policy, Honors Diploma Requirements, & Alternate Learning Experiences, etc. • Last Page = 4 Year Plan Academic Map (however, this is also available on Career Cruising – under “Course Planner.” This will save electronically).
