  1. Configuration of PrimEx data II Liyang JIANG CIAE/UNCW

  2. Event banks and Non-event banks

  3. Primitive Banks Translate from electronics channel (crate, slot, channel) to detector id Raw Data Banks Convert ADC or TDC digitized values to physical unit values (ns, GeV) Pre-analyzed Banks Combine the data from different detectors and reconstruct quantities of the event Reconstructed Banks Types of Event-banks

  4. Primitive Banks • HARDWARE • Data from detectors • TRIGGER & TRIGGER_PHASE • Trigger latch word, and live time of trigger supervisor • Data in TRIGGER, and run number, phase • EVENTID • Run number, Event number, Timestamp, etc.

  5. HARDWARE and its daughters Primitive Raw Data Pre-Analyzed Reconstructed TAGTRHIT H A R D W A R E TAGTR TAGT_LR TAGT_LR_HIT TAGTL TAGTLHIT TAGT TAGTHIT TAGM TAGE TAGEHIT PST PSHIT TRIGPHOTON PSA TACT TACA TACHIT HYCALCLUSTER HYCAL HYCALHIT HYCALASSOC HTRIGT HTRIGA VETOA VETOHIT VETOT TRIGT TRIGTHIT

  6. Reconstructed: TAGM

  7. Reconstructed: TRIGPHOTON

  8. Reconstructed: HYCALCLUSTER

  9. Reconstructed: PFLUX • PFLUX is reconstructed from TRIGGER & RIGHTTIME banks. It stores the status of the events. 0=good, 1=bad.

  10. Non-event banks • SCALER bank and EPICS bank store the data of slow controls, which have not been acquired event by event, i.e. BPM, Beam position, Beam current, Temperature, etc.

  11. Summary • This is a document to interpret the configuration of data in PrimEx. • The document will be sent to everyone soon. • Comments and feedbacks are welcome.
