Product Overview • Used for non-intrusively monitoring T1 links (i.e. without disturbing "live” T1 traffic) • 16 T1 receivers for monitoring up to 8, bi-directional T1 links • Built-in non-blocking DCX at DS-0 level to cross-connect the Input T1 Ports to the Output T1 Ports. • Grooming facility - allows the user to select and aggregate the 64Kbps time-slots from various T1 inputs to a few T1 outputs • 4 additional outputs T1 ports to connect the aggregated time-slots to user's protocol analyzers, test probes, etc. • 2U high rack-space. Compact 19-inch stand-alone unit. • Powered by and operates on a -48V DC power input.

Programming Features • T1 Synchronization Clock Selection (internal, incoming T1 clock, 2.048 MHz TTL External Clock) • Enabling or disabling T1 Ports (masking) of the T1 Ports that are not in use • Creating a cross-connect between T1s at DS-O level (single time-slot level) using the CLI text commands or Windows based GUI (Graphical User Interface) • Telnet for remote programming. Status Monitoring • T1 Synchronization Clock Status • Status of alarms • Enabled / Disabled status of T1 Ports • Monitoring of the VCL-MegaConnectTM16 Port Plus - T1 Monitoring Groomer, status and configuration.

Indications and Alarm Monitoring • Loss of incoming signal at any T1 Port • Configuration error alarm • T1 Synchronization Clock Status • 1 to 16 T1 Ports - LED indicators to indicate the status of each T1 Monitoring Port • 3 Volts Power Supply • -48V DC Input Voltage • Configuration Error • External alarm output - through a dry contact relay. Management Options • Telnet for remote configuration and monitoring • Windows based GUI (Graphical User Interface) with a in-built feature to back-up and restore existing configuration files.
