General Information • Location-10720 Wilmington Ave (next to the Watts Towers) • School founded in 2010 • Blended Learning School (1:1 Laptop/Ipad student ratio) • 490 students enrolled grades 9-12 • Focus on college-readiness and success • Dress Code • Block Schedule (8:00-3:30) • http://www.simontechnology.org/

  4. Mission Statement Cindy and Bill Simon Technology Academy High School strives to create 21st century college-ready learners by immersing students in a challenging learning environment that promotes high expectations through critical analysis and technological literacy.

  5. Credits • You receive 5 credits for every passing grade at the end of every semester • 5 credits x 6 classes = 30 +2.5 credits (Advisory) = 32.5 credits • Grades: A, B, C and NP (notproficient) • Maximum amount of credits earned every semester can be 65 • 230 credits in required subject areas needed to graduate

  6. Graduation Requirements Pass CAHSEE & Complete 40 hours of Community Service by the end of 12th grade

  7. Classes offered this school year Honors and AP classes can be taken by teacher recommendation and performance on CST’s

  9. Application Process • Complete the Pre-Approval application (as soon as possible) • First 125 applicants • Office Manager will contact you and request transcripts • 12/6 and 12/13 Information Sessions • 12/20 -9th grade enrollment ends
