2. What is Digital Art? • Digital art is most commonly known as art that is created on a computer in digital form. • Digital data can either be existing art being scanned and edited or purely designed on the computer. • Computer software is used to digitally manipulate different forms of art may it be music, video or a picture. • Most manipulated data don’t even leave a trace of the original image/ track/ clip.

3. Electronic Music • This is basically recreating an existing track by adding digital effects through professional software • The two basic components required are the software and hardware. • The hardware would assist in inputting the desired track and the software would assist in making certain alterations to the track. • Data will be stored in the form of binary code.

5. Interactive Visual Art • This is when computer aided design is used to create works of art that are appealing to the eye. • It is a modern marvel how people can start with something as basic as an ordinary background, and transform it into a masterpiece just by editing it through a computer. • The advantage about this is that the final picture can be done in 3D form which makes it more appealing.

6. Desktop Publishing • Desktop publishing is a simple method of designing anything that is to be presented in the form of a hard copy, i.e. magazine covers, brochures, etc. • The software makes it convenient for users to efficiently create artistic designs for their required needs.

7. Advantages of Digital Art… • Everyone is capable of creating digital art. • High portability because of digital storage. • Digital art can be published on the internet for worldwide access.

8. Disadvantages… • Risk of loss of data due to hacking, virus infection, etc. • Consequences for not acknowledging original owner or creator of the work of art.
