  2. Changes • Updating packet formats. B flag in Binding Update is removed. • Updating packet formats. B flag in Unique Binding Identifier sub-option is introduced for bulk registration. • Bulk Registration is now supported. • The distinction of primary and non-primary is obsoleted. • IPsec and IKE interaction will be added shortly. • The priority is introduced instead of primary and non-primary. This priority is from comment by Monami6 WG. The specification may not be completed, but if the document become WG, we will complete the spec. • The DHAAD extension is optional extension. (moved to Appendix)

  3. Security Threats • No texts in the current version • Vijay will follow this up...

  4. Bulk Registration • A MN can sends multiple CoAs in a single BU • Adding a new flag to indicate the Bulk Registration • Each CoA are stored in an alternate CoA sub-option followed by a BID sub-option IPv6 HDR HoA option .... BU BID ACoA BID ACoA BID ACoA

  5. Discussions on ML • Simultaneously Home and Foreign attachments • RR with Bulk Registration • Backward Compatibility consideration

  6. Simultaneously Home and Foreign attachments • Three options when MN returns home • keep IF attached to the home link • deregistering binding (HA stop proxy ND) • keep IF attached to the foreign link • disable the interface attached to home (HA keep proxy ND) • keep both IFs • how?? • The problem when MN uses both IF@home/foreign • HA cannot intercept packets when MN returns home because it stop proxy ND • If HA keep proxy ND, DAD will be occurred

  7. RR with Bulk Registration • When multiple CoAs are in a Binding Update • Authenticator cannot be calculated for all CoAs No authentication for all CoAs • Two options • forget bulk registration for CNs. Using separate binding update for CNs • Extending BID option to carry authenticator. Keep the home/careof nonce index and authenticator in the BID option

  8. Backward Compatibility consideration • For the bulk registartion, Alternate CoA sub-option is used to carry multiple CoAs. • It may breaks compatibility with the legacy CN • specify a new option to keep care-of address?
