  3. Team Goals • Goal setting is an essential step in team formation. • Objective: • to attain superior performance • team strive to meet challenging goals

  4. Team Goals For my team, there are some basic goals:

  5. Team members’ Goals • All team members need specific and measurable goals • For the first cycle, use the standard TSPi team member and role goals. • For the second and subsequent cycles, team member can change these goals if they wish

  7. Team roles • Development tasks are divided among all five team members • All team members may provide input to all decisions that the team makes. • However, greater weight will be given to the recommendations of the appropriate manager

Team roles • Team Leader Goals • Build and maintain an effective team. • Motivate all team members to work aggressively on the project. • Resolve all the issues team members bring to you. • Keep the instructor fully informed about the team’s progress. • Perform effectively as the team’s meeting facilitator.

  10. Team roles • Development Manager Goals • Produce a superior product. • Fully use the team members’ skills and abilities

  11. Team roles • Planning Manager Goals • Produce a complete, precise, and accurate plan for the team and every team member. • Accurately report team status every week.

Team roles • Quality/Process Manager Goals • All team members accurately report and properly use TSP process data. • The team faithfully follows the TSP and produces a quality product. • All team inspections are properly moderated and reported. • All team meetings are accurately reported, and the reports are put in the project notebook.

Team roles • Support Manager Goals • The team has suitable tools and methods to support its work. • No unauthorized changes are made to baseline products. • All the team’s risks and issues are recorded in the issue-tracking system and reported each week. • The team meets its reuse goals for the development cycle.
