What is Title 1?
- Part of the federal No Child Left Behind Act
- Largest federal primary and secondary education program.
- The funds help educators support children in economically challenged communities.
- It ensures that parents have opportunities to be involved in their child’s education.
- Schools and districts receiving funds must show annual academic improvement.
- NYS annual yearly progress [AYP] in ELA and Math
How do Frontier students benefit from Title 1?
- All teachers employed in Frontier are highly qualified and certified to teach their assigned subject/grade level.
- AIS [Academic Intervention Services] and
SAIS [ Supplemental Academic Intervention Services]
- Provide support to students in ELA, math, science and social studies

- Provide information about students’ preparedness for study at the next grade level and College and Career Readiness

AIMSWeb Assessment K-8
- AIMSweb is a benchmark and progress monitoring system based on direct, frequent and continuous student assessment. The results can be reported to students, parents, teachers and administrators via a web-based data management and reporting system to determine response to intervention.
