What is Title 1?
  • Part of the federal No Child Left Behind Act
  • Largest federal primary and secondary education program.
  • The funds help educators support children in economically challenged communities.
  • It ensures that parents have opportunities to be involved in their child’s education.
  • Schools and districts receiving funds must show annual academic improvement.
    • NYS annual yearly progress [AYP] in ELA and Math

How do Frontier students benefit from Title 1?
  • All teachers employed in Frontier are highly qualified and certified to teach their assigned subject/grade level.
  • AIS [Academic Intervention Services] and

SAIS [ Supplemental Academic Intervention Services]

    • Provide support to students in ELA, math, science and social studies
  • Frontier has historically concentrated on supporting student literacy.
