  1. 4 Upcoming Infra Projects That Will Change The Face of Bhandup What comes to your mind when you hear Bhandup? Close to Powai? Closer to Mulund? That’s Bhandup for you. Over the years, Powai and Mulund have overshadowed Bhandup. However, with an array of infrastructure projects lined up in Bhandup, this long underrated suburban locality is set for a one- of-a-kind transformation. A transformation that will not just make a Bhandupkar’s life convenient, but will forever change the perception of Bhandup. Top-notch connectivity, rapid commercialization, and green surroundings will be some positive consequences of these infrastructure projects in Mumbai. 4 Upcoming Infrastructure Projects in Mumbai Let’s dive deep to know more about these infrastructure projects in Mumbai that are in proximity to Bhandup and how they will foster growth in probably one of the oldest suburbs in Mumbai. 1. Mumbai Metro – Corridor 4 For the last few years, the Mumbai Metro project has been the talk of the town, it is truly going to be a game-changing public transportation project, and will take a considerable load of the overburdened railway system. Corridor 4 of Mumbai Metro spans from Wadala to Kasarvadavali in Thane. The 32-km route passes through Ghatkopar, Bhandup, Mulund and Teen Hath Naka in Thane. This Metro project will provide access to major commercial and geographical locations across Mumbai and will also connect to several other arterial metro lines, providing easy access to pretty much all of Mumbai. The Metro Line passes through all the major areas of Bhandup, with Bhandup set to have multiple metro stations including Bhandup metro station and Shangrila metro statoin. With this metro line in place, a Bhandupkar can have easy access to Wadala (monorail line) and Ghodbunder Road. This upcoming metro project in Mumbai will significantly reduce the travel time and prove to be a convenient travel option. The construction is in full swing and expected to be completed in the next 2 years. 2. India’s Longest Cycling & Jogging Track

  2. For cyclists and fitness enthusiasts, this project is a joy like no other! The congested city of Mumbai is all set to get the country’s longest cycling track, and that too is in the heart of Bhandup. Fascinating, isn’t it? This 39-km cycling track runs from Mulund to Antop Hill in Wadala. The project is being developed to promote cycling culture in the city. The construction has already begun in the areas of Mulund and Bhandup and parts of the track are already operational. This cycling track will have 40 entry and exit points, and connectivity to 7 metro stations and 4 railway stations. The tree-lined cycle track will be one of the go-to leisurely hotspots in Bhandup. The construction is expected to be completed in the next 2-3 years. 3. Mumbai-Goregaon Link Road This is another major roadway connecting Bhandup directly to the western suburbs of Mumbai in under an hour. The aim of this project is to solve the traffic jam issues and save commuting time. Currently commuters from Bhandup need to travel by the perennially jammed JVLR or take a circuitous route from Ghodbunder road to get to the Western suburbs. With suburbs like Goregaon having emerged as a major commercial hub, the link road will make Bhandup a feasible residential location for people working in the Western suburbs as well. The 12-km extensive project will be constructed in four phases. The first phase is completed and the work for the rest of the phases is ongoing. The timeline for this project is approximately 48-60 months. 4. 90-Ft Road The proposed 90 foot road will run through the heart of Bhandup, parallel to LBS Marg and will significantly reduce traffic woes within Bhandup. With the proposed 90-feet road and other road widening projects coming up as per the city Development plan, internal connectivity in Bhandup is set for a massive upgrade. The widening roads will reduce traffic congestion and facilitate a hassle-free intra-city commute. Moreover, it will also transform the long-held perception of Bhandup of a dense and cluttered place into a smart suburb! Bottom Line These infrastructure projects in Mumbai will not just provide convenience to Bhandupkars, but will also attract investments in Bhandup. With ever-increasing

  3. connectivity, the real estate market, especially budget housing in Bhandup, will thrive in the coming years. There will be a huge demand for residential projects like Marathon Neohomes which promote affordable housing and have smart studio and 1 BHK apartments. Neohomes is located at a prime location in Bhandup. It is 10 minutes away from the upcoming Metro stations and 15 minutes away from Bhandup railway station. Such residential projects offer a good quality of life and a great ROI to the investor. So, if you’re in search of a budget-friendly residential home in the heart of Mumbai, you probably know your go-to destination.
