In the Beginning… Hannibal the Conqueror ~Born in Fuendetodos , Spain ~Studied under José Luzán as a teen ~Moved to Madrid at 17 ~Influenced by Tiepolo and Anton Raphael Mengs ~Failed to win scholarship to Royal Academy of San Fernando multiple times ~Moved to Rome and supported himself on the sales of his paintings ~Moved back to Madrid and married Josefa Bayeu, sister of Francisco Bayeu ~Met Anton Raphael Mengs http://eeweems.com/goya/goya_lostpainting.html
