What’s Happening Man? • You will be departmentalized or rotating classes this year! • You will have a different teacher for the following subjects: • ELA: English /Language Arts/Reading • Math • S/S: Social Studies and Science • I am your homeroom teacher! • I will be responsible for parent conferences, recording grades, weekly folders, classroom parties, etc.

Behavioral Expectations: • Be respectful to yourself, peers, and teachers. • Use class time wisely! • Responsibly be prepared and on time for class. • To optimize your learning pay attention to your teacher during instruction. • Do your best on assignments, complete the assignments, and turn them in on time. • Follow through with what the teacher asks you to do.

Conduct Grading Guide 100/A 90/A 1stInfraction- Warning 80/B 2ndInfraction- Teacher Conference with Student 70/C 3rdInfraction- Note sent home to be signed and returned the next day 60/D 4thInfraction- Solitary Lunch 50/F 5thInfraction- Visit to the Principal’s Office Note: Loss of snack, loss of P.E., additional homework, extra writing assignments, and after school detention are not options for consequences. Mass punishment is not permitted.

You can also call the school office and leave me a message. I will reply to you via email or call you as soon as possible. You can email me from my school page or directly at: vsnellgrove@enterpriseschools.net • Weekly Folders: Will contain the following information… • Conduct Grades (for prior weeks conduct) • Academic Papers/Grades (from two weeks prior assignments/tests) • Progress Reports/Report Cards • School notes/publications/announcements • Parent Conferences: I will be available to meet on Tuesdays thru Thursdays between 3:00 to 4:30. • 1st Nine weeks conferences (required EBOE) • 2nd Nine weeks conferences (required EBOE) • Any conferences upon request

  7. Parent Conferences: If possible? please sign up for 1st Nine Weeks parent conferences today or at your earliest convenience. There is a sign-up sheet on back table!

  8. HELP! PLEASE VOLUNTEER! • See volunteer sign-up sheet on back table!

  9. Please write a letter to me about your child… • I am interested in learning about : • His/HerStrengths • His/HerInterests • Your expectations for them academically as a parent and/or guardian. • Any pertinent information that will help them achieve academically.

  10. Check your locker today! • Find your name! • Collect everything except for textbooks from your locker!
