The ISAW Philosophy • Freely available (open source) • Multiple platform (PC, Linux, Mac, etc.) • Easy to use (GUI-based) • Convenient for repetitive calculations (integrated script capability) • Read/write common data formats (NeXus) • Support for commonly needed operations and viewing methods • Well doumented with built-in help system

  4. How to install and run ISAw • Before doing the demonstration I will say a few words about how to download and install ISAW. • I also have CD’s available.

  5. Before installing ISAW, Check for Java on your system

  6. Download and install Java, if it is missing

  7. Go to ISAW Web Site

  8. Download and install ISAW

  9. Run ISAW install fileand pick install directory 1 2

  10. For Windows, double-click on Isaw_exec.bat
