Capacity-building/enhancing involvement of countries in transition • Regional Commonwealth for Communication (Ministries of Communication of 11 CIS countries): Meeting in Belarus in April 2011 appointedRCC group to work with UN/CEFACT • CIS Interstate Council on Standardization, Metrology and Certification (Standardization bodies of 11 CIS states): Meeting in Turkmenistan in May 2011 requested UN/CEFACT to assist in preparing proposals for a potential regional standardization programme on information standards based on UN/CEFACT tools • OSCE Border Management College (Dushanbe): Training courses in November 2010, March 2011, June 2011, September 2011

Capacity-building by Regional Adviser • CB workshops on TF, Single Window and data harmonization (using UN standards): Bishkek, Moscow, Odessa • Interparliamentary Assembly of EurAsEC: after 4 seminars, joint studies and a publication: included TF & SW in its work plans • Conference on TF & SW with the Commission of the Customs Union of BY, KZ & RU, Moscow, 7-8 April 2011 • 3 studies on the readiness of Russia for the SW • New version of the English-Russian Glossary of TF terms (after Russia acceded to the Kyoto Convention and translated it) Trade policy advisory services: • SPECA Aid-for-Trade roadmap initiative: Ministerial in Baku (1 Dec. 2010) => Ministerial Declaration & AfT monitoring council • Secretariat support to the SPECA Working Group on Trade • Report and strategy paper for cooperation with SE Europe
