  7. SC Collaboration Meeting Date: Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st of May Invitation only ~11! Preliminary Program: - Status report for the PIC codes PTC-py_ORBIT, SYNERGIA and IMPACT. - Report about results concerning the Giuliano benchmarking suite for the PIC codes covering all 9 steps. - First results from the various investigations concerning noise in PIC codes and in particular for storage rings. - Progress with the frozen space charge codes. - How well do we understand the (2011-2013) PSB & PS experiments with simulations? - Next plans for simulations for the CERN pre-accelerators and experiments planned for 2014. SC Overview FS

  8. SC Collaboration Meeting Organization • Secretary: Delphine • Advertized with all in/ouside of CERN • BE auditorium booked • Coffee from EuCard • Foyer reservation: in process • Web page indico: in progress • Finalized program with chairperson: early January • Registration fee: advantage dinner with guests possible Wednesday evening • External collaborators: Giuliano + student Frederic Kester, Oliver Boine-Frankenheim, Ingo Hofmann, Jeff Holmes, James Amundson + Eric Stern, Ji Qiang, Valery Kapin, Christoph Montag, Sinshy Machida • Alexander Molodozhentsev preferred not to come for 2 days only! • Students needed for questions SC Overview FS

  9. Educational Talk 2a Phase Advance and Tunes • Tracking done for a FODO lattice with sextupoles including random component to create strong sextupole resonances to first order, in particular the Qx + 2 Qy = n coupled resonance. • Non-linear only no space charge • Tunes similar to the PS experiment • Qx = 0.07 and Qy = 0.48. • In the tracking just amplitudes are change in 4D.
