La obra de Colbert es una experiencia estética que plantea no sólo imágenes de belleza absoluta, también una reflexión sobre el papel del hombre y su relacion natural con la fauna y la flora...la naturaleza... que ha pasado al olvido cotidiano... como un componente más de la extraordinaria característica de nuestro planeta: la vida.

  3. Gregory Colbert, fotógrafo canadiense. Comenzó a trabajar en el campo cinematográfico en 1983 con diversos documentales y cortometrajes dedicados a temas sociales. En abril de 1993 decidió desaparecer: renunció a su actividad cinematográfica y artística y en lo sucesivo se dedicó por entero, en el más absoluto silencio, a filmar y fotografiar la interacción entre el hombre y los animales (elefantes, cachalotes, manatíes, águilas, halcones, ibis, etc.) en el curso de 27 expediciones en India, Egipto, Burma, Tonga, Sri Lanka, Namibia, Kenia, la Antártida, las Azores y Borneo
