Controls priorities and modalities in France • Controls figures (2015) • Roadside controls : 35 000 identified infringements • 50 % of the infringements : driving and resting time / tachograph • Approx. 1 M controls / year • Penalties / Sanctions • Criminal and administrative sanctions • Examples of sanctions : • Illegal Cabotage : fine up to 15000 € • Overloadings : Cumulative fines. Example : 46,4 tons for max legal weight 38 tons = 8 x « class 4 penalty » (135 €) 1080 €
