Loving heavenly Father,

We pray for your guidance throughout our meeting and ask that you would clearly show us how to

do Your will with a spirit of joy and enthusiasm.

Give us the desire to find ways to excel in what we do. Help us to work together and encourage each other as we strive to build a better world.

Lent 2012 is a unique opportunity…

Every £1 donated to CAFOD by supporters towards our Lent appeal, will be matched by the Government.

We are hoping to raise £2m.

That’s £4m with matched funding!

Imagine what could be done with that.......

fast day envelope
Fast Day Envelope
  • No date on envelope
  • Use throughout Lent
  • Collections are taken on different weekends

(Reverse of envelope)

People can send back their donations in the post if they miss the collection

Gift Aid

Amount of Gift Aid we’ve collected has reduced over the last few years.

Fewer people are completing the Gift Aid form.

If we could claim Gift Aid on the £2M we hope to raise – that would raise another £500K!

Holy Mary, Mother of God,you have given the world its true light,Jesus, your Son – the Son of God.You abandoned yourself completely

to God's calland thus became a wellspringof the goodness which flows forth from him.

Show us Jesus.

Lead us to him.Teach us to know and love him,so that we too can become capable of true loveand be fountains of living waterin the midst of a thirsting world.
