OBJECTIVE • Develop Student Instructor Pilot’s (IP) understanding of the T700 engine and it’s related components.
DEFINITION • The T700 is a front drive, turboshaft engine of modular construction. The engine is divided into four modules: cold section, hot section, power turbine section, and accessory section.
COLD SECTION • Inlet particle separator • Compressor • Output shaft assembly • Line replaceable units (LRUs) • Electrical control unit (ECU) • Anti-icing and start bleed valve (AISBV) • History recorder • Ignition system and electrical cables
