Workshop Purpose This workshop exists in order to… • To develop enough familiarity with new methods that you can start applying them right away in routine AND imaginative ways to complex challenges-at-hand • To draw attention to the role of different micro-design elements in shaping our interactions and encourage more mindful and inventive use of them

A note about Freedom & Responsibility during this immersion learning experience • Take advantage of opportunities to contribute AND continuously make space for others to do the same • Play close attention to the role that structure plays in shaping interactions • Prepare for a high dynamic rate of random variability • Engage with seriously playful curiosity & try to notice the intimate, imperfect, and intricate details of your experience • Expect surprise, confusiasm, and dynamic incompleteness • Give more than you take

  7. Instructions & Steps • Evenly distribute participants between two groups. One groups forms an inner circle and the second forms an outer circle. People should be facing each other (3-5 mins) • Put up an open ended sentence and invite everyone to complete the statement and elaborate with whatever time is available (30 seconds) • *DING* Bells • Groups both shift one person to the right and respond to a new statement (30 seconds) • *DING* Bells and repeat (3-10 mins total)

  24. Instructions & Steps • Write down your idea • Pass cards around while milling • 5 rounds • Rate each card: 1 = I like it, but am not going to make it happen to 5 = Yes, and I’m in! [adjust scale for each invitation] • Decide before looking at other scores. Put rating on the back of the card.
