  2. To my dear students of Equity and Trusts Part 1

  3. You have finished the midterm, assignment and tutorials, You’re almost done.

  4. Look back at the trimester and you will see,

  5. That you’ve learned more than you think, About trusts and equity,

  6. With the final exams coming, I know you’re under a lot of stress,

  7. Now’s the time to focus and perform at your best.

  8. I apologize for the times I made you feel inadequate or blue,

  9. Please understand that I was just trying to motivate you.

  10. And when I have your exams before me in a pile as tall as a giraffe,

  11. I will be kind in my marking by remembering the times you made me laugh.

  12. If all you remember in one or two years are my silly poems

  13. And the humuhumunukunukuapua’a, that’s quite all right,

  14. Because in my memory I will remember your smiles, So kind and so bright.

  15. Because despite my stern behavior and my cold, unsympathetic heart,

  16. In this job, being with you, my students, Is my favorite part.
