  1. Natural Gas • State of matter ~ Gas • Uses ~ Used for industry, public transpiration, and home heating mostly. It can also be used to create electricity in homes and businesses.

  2. Natural Gas • How it is used ~ Once the gas is collected from underground, the gas is refined, and shipped to our homesand burned either at homes or in power plants depending on what it is used for

  3. Natural Gas-- How is it obtained Two types 1) Associated Natural Gas is found in pockets above oil and when we are drilling for oil 2) Unassociated Natural Gas the fracking process is used which is very controversial. Watch the videos to see how bad some people say this, keep in mind these videos are a little one sided or bias. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRRe5X6deNc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U01EK76Sy4A

  4. Natural Gas • Found – In pockets above oil, this is the traditional way of getting oil, we also have recently been able to get it from landfills, and even more recently we are fracking (or forming natural gas and then extracting it) • Amount of air pollution ~ Of the fossil fuels, natural gas is the cleanest, however it is still dirty • Environmental Impacts ~ Drilling and fracking destroys the land and ruins ground water, burning natural gas causes CO2 emissions
