Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary- This sanctuary is located in the dense forest reserve in the Satara district. This sanctuary is home to a good number of mammals, like- Bengal Tiger, Indian Bison, Mouse Deer, Sloth Bear along and birds, like- Brown-capped Pygmy Woodpecker, Night-trailed Light Jar, reptiles, etc. Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary- This sanctuary is spread over 131 sq. km. area and is situated in the Western Ghats of India. This sanctuary hosts Barking Deer, Langurs, Wild Boar, mammals, reptiles, insects, amphibians, and more such animals. Radhanagri Bison Sanctuary- This sanctuary has been accredited as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is home to Indian Bison. Located in the Sahyadri Range, this sanctuary is spread in 352 sq. km. of the area and is home to a lot of birds, reptiles, and other animals. Umred Pauni Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary- This sanctuary is located approx 50 km. from Nagpur and is spread over Pauni Tahsil of Bhandara district. This sanctuary is an adobe to Breeding Tigers, Herds of Gaur, Flying Squirrels, Honey Badgers, and more. Nearby this sanctuary, you also get accommodations to spend perfect getaways on weekends.
