  5. Bryson MS career month activities… • "Question of the Day" - morning announcements students will hear a career question of the day • "Dress for Success" – dress as person in a specific career • "Decorate Your Door" - homerooms are eligible for a pizza party

  6. Mauldin MS career month activities… • "Career Talk".....a mini career day….different parents came and talked to their child's homeroom about their careers for 15 minutes 

  7. Northwest MS career month activities… • “Having Good Character in the Workplace” Activity encourages the student to learn of themselves, their personal qualities, and how these qualities relate to school and the world of work

  8. Sevier MS career month activities… • “Career Fair” …allowing them a chance to meet and talk one-on-one with real people about their jobs.  About 35 different businesses/occupations were on hand to share with 6th, 7th and 8th grade students their different careers…. representatives from select high schools, including the Fine Arts Center in Greenville County

OCTOBER 9 CAROLINA CAREERS… Topic: “The Case for Liberal Arts Education for Lifelong Career Development” Dr. Kevin Lewis and Dr. Cynthia Davis, USC’s College of Arts and Sciences Book Talk: “What Color is Your Parachute?” Dr. Larry Salters, USC Career Center Modeling Career Guidance: “Career Decision-Making Process” Palmetto Leaders: “Decision Making in Leadership” Dr. Jim Rex, South Carolina Superintendent of Education
