  2. How do we gain knowledge on this? • “Whom shall he teach knowledge?  and whom shall he make to understand doctrine?….For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.” ~ Isaiah 28:9-10

  3. The Beast Defined by Scripture • “Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.” ~ Daniel 7:23 Beast = Kingdom That Rules the Whole Earth

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” ~ Revelation 13:15-17

  11. Consequences of the “Mark of the Beast” • Drink the wine of the wrath of God • They will have no rest day or night • Tormented with fire • Receive grievous sores • Suffer under the last plagues • Cast into the lake of fire Taking the Mark of the Beast is not a good idea

Understanding the “Mark” Requires Understanding the Bible • The promise of Abraham • The promises through Moses • The blessing and the curse • Constant disobedience to God’s law • Jerusalem sacked • Promise of the New Covenant through Jeremiah • Message of Jesus & John the Baptist- Repent • Message of the Apostles- Repent • The story of God’s Law verses Man’s Law

When God gave his commandments- He said four separate times- #1 • “And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the Lord’s law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the Lord brought thee out of Egypt.” ~ Exodus 13:9 (This verse was referring to the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the Passover)

  14. When God gave his commandments- He said four separate times- #2 • “And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt.” ~ Exodus 13:16 (This verse was referring to the Feast of Unleavened Bread & The Passover)

  15. When God gave his commandments- He said four separate times- #3 • “And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.” ~ Deuteronomy 6:8 (This was referring to God’s 10 Commandments, His statutes & Ordinances)

  16. When God gave his commandments- He said four separate times- #4 • “Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.” ~ Deuteronomy 11:18 (This was referring to God’s charge, commandments, statutes and judgements)

  17. Obedience to God’s Commandments was a Sign upon the Mind/Thoughts & Actions

Further Evidence from Revelation- Commandments are the Key • “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” ~ Revelation 12:17 • “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” ~  Revelation 14:12 • “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” ~ Revelation 22:14

  19. Mark of the Beast in the Forehead • This is a mark in your conscience.  It involves your mind, your thoughts, and the obedience of your thoughts.  If you choose to believe in the laws that man will institute (through the Beast System) even though they contradict the Laws and Commandments of God, you have taken the Mark of the Beast in your forehead.

  20. Mark of the Beast in your Hand • This is a mark in your actions.  It involves what you become obedient to.  If you don’t believe in the laws of man that are coming (through the Beast System)-which will contradict God’s Commandments, but in order to avoid conflict you go along with these man-made laws so as to not stick out, you will receive the Mark of the Beast in your hand.

  21. Obedience to God in this time means….. • You will be forced to disobey the laws of the Beast Government • You will lose the right to buy or sell • You will lose your place in society • You will suffer persecution and possible death

The Seal of God • “And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” ~ Revelation 7:2-3

  24. The Seal of God- Ezekiel’s Account • “And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by his side; And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.  And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:” ~ Ezekiel 9:2-5

  25. Seal of God Offers Protection • “And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.” ~ Revelation 9:3-5

The Beast Changed The Times & Laws • Moved Sabbath to Sunday (Sun Worship Day)- Changing the 4th Commandment • Ended the Holy Feasts of God- Replaced them with Christmas, Good Friday & Easter- Both rooted in Paganism from Ancient Babylon • Removed the 2nd Commandment of God Completely- Instituted idol worship world-wide • Established Infant Baptism, Confirmation • Assumed authority to forgive sins • Ended recognition of the Food Laws of God • Established Intercessions for the Dead • Assigning “Holy” status to church leaders

  27. Sunday • “Sunday is our mark of authority. . .the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact” ~ Catholic Record of London, Ontario Sept 1,1923

  32. Sunday • “It was the Catholic church which…has transferred this rest to Sunday in remembrance of the resurrection of our Lord.   34. Sunday • “The [Seventh-day] Sabbath was binding in Eden, and it has been in force ever since. This Fourth Commandment [Exodus 20:8-11] begins with the word ‘remember,’ showing that the Sabbath had already existed when God wrote the law on the tables of stone at Sinai.   35. Most of Christianity- Already Obeying Beast Laws • Sunday Worship • Christmas & Easter • Infant Baptism • Intercession for Dead • When it becomes civil law to observe some or all of these things world-wide, the Mark of the Beast has arrived

  36. The “Image of the Beast” • The Beast is found in Catholicism- the Roman Catholic Church • The Image of the Beast is found in Protestantism- Continuing in the changed times and laws of the Beast • They have formed an “image” of the Beast
