Darwin Is Under Fire Where His Theory Should Have Been All Along • A feature is“irreducibly complex”when: • It consists of a number of parts, none of which can be removed without destroying the function of the feature. • A common example is the mousetrap. This observation calls mutation and natural selection back into question.
