  • Proposed new Programme ‘Erasmus for All’
  • Will replace Lifelong Learning Programme and all the current Education Cooperation Programmes
  • Increased budget (€19b) – 70% increase compared to Programmes it replaces
  • Three ‘Key Actions’ proposed:-
    • Key Action 1: Learning mobility of individuals
    • Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and good practices
    • Key Action 3: Support for policy reform

Key Action 1: Learning mobility of individuals:

• 2.2 million HE students to receive mobility grants (1.5 million under the currently)

• 135,000 students getting support to study in a non-EU country, as well as non-EU students coming to study in the Union;

• 700,000 traineeships for young people in companies abroad ( 600,000 currently)

• 330,000 Master’s degree students to benefit from loan guarantees

• 34,000 students would receive grants for a ‘joint degree’, (17,600 supported under currently)

• 20,000 ‘strategic partnerships’ to be established to implement joint initiatives and promote exchange of experience and know-how;
