  1. If You Ever Witness or Suspect Animal Abuse, Do Not Just Stand There — Report It, SaysPhil Lovin It is quite difficult for most pet owners to understand why anyone would intentionally hurt their own pets. Why would someone want to inflict pain on their pets or allow suffering through negligence? Though the condition of companion animals has significantly improved over the past few decades; there are still many people out there that view their pets the old-fashioned way, which means as their property. These people typically do not recognize pets as beings with emotions. Instead, they only see them as objects with whom they can do anything they want. And sometimes, this includes acts of cruelty too. That’s where animal activists like Phil Lovin make a difference in the lives of these animals, by making sure that abusers do not get away with such crimes. When it comes to recognizing animal cruelty and doing something about it, Phil believes that it is very important for people to understand what is and isn’t

  2. considered prosecutable animal cruelty in their community. That’s because laws related to animal cruelty vary from state to state, & what’s considered an illegal treatment of an animal in one state may be not be unlawful in the other. For instance, no loving pet owner would ever think of leaving their pet dog outside on a tether, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, with almost zero socialization; however it is legal to do so in many cities & counties across the US. But in case that tethered pet is emaciated & has no shelter, food, or water; the owner is definitely in violation & can be cited for animal cruelty. Regardless of the severity, animal cruelty is a crime that deserves punishment like any other crime, says Phil Lovin. He further says that if you ever witness or suspect animal abuse, report it immediately as your call may be the abused animal’s only chance to get rescued from a life-threatening situation.
