  6. Waxless skis (2) • Still a simple solution • Still glides poorly • OK solution in difficult conditions (snowing, 0°C) • How many pairs of skis do you need?

  7. Whydo we apply grip waxonly in thecenterof the ski?

  8. Kick zone • Measured individually Plain surface, one sheet of paper …and help from a friend! • Sand paper

  12. How to remove grip wax • One layeroftoiletpaper • Scrapeoff! • Left: A base layerfor nexttrip? • (or a waxcleaner, to removeeverything)

  13. How to apply klister • Like tooth paste or glue • Use your hand! • Solution: Ski gloves! …or cream/fat/body lotion, then soap. Got sticky fingers?

  14. How to remove the klister • No rocket science: Do it the same way as for the wax!

  15. FAQ (1) • Why does the wax disappear so quickly? • When should I wax my skis? • My skis are sliding backwards. What do I do? • Why do I have a 10cm thick snow layer under my skis?

  16. FAQ (2) • How do I avoid this problem, and how do I solve it now? • There’s klister everywhere; what do I do? • It seems to build up ice in the klister. How do I avoid this problem? • I can’t afford having 50 different grip waxes . What do I do?

  17. FAQ (3) • There’s 0°C and snowing – seems to be difficult conditions. What strategy should I use? • I really hate klister. It sticks to my hands, to my car seats, to my mouth, to the skis and to the snow. How can I fall in love with the klister? • It’s raining downtown, and the conditions are probably crappy now. Should I stay at home?

  18. FAQ (4) • Can I ski on the road, on the parking lot and on the beach? • Who needs to yield; the skier or the car?
