  2. Totalitarianism: • A political system where the government holds total control over the society and seeks to control all aspects of public and private life!

  3. Fascism: A type of totalitarian system led by a dictator, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, controlling all business, press, etc, and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism

  4. Communism: A political theory derived from Karl Marx leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to her abilities and needs!

  5. Socialism A transitional state between capitalism and communism A way of organizing a society so that major industries (medicine, education, etc.) are owned (and distributed equally) by the government instead of individuals.
