INTRODUCTION The National Youth Council (NYC) • State corporation domiciled in the Ministry ofPublic Service, Youth and Gender Affairs • Established upon enactment of the National Youth Policy (NYP) (2007) and the NYC Act (2009). • The Council is a “policy, research and advocacy unit” on youth issues inKenya and collaborates with relevant stakeholders in enhancing youth participation andinclusion in all spheres of national development.
