  2. Introduction • HEINZ Salad Cream has been considered a national favourite by many people and is often seen as a product still well known however not that appealing to younger people in todays generation. • We have been assigned a task to create a project in order to bring Salad cream more into todays age and bring a certain age group into buying the product and making them more involved in its offers. • Our website will show these offers in suggestions of the product, the creation of the website, what is included and why it will help boost the Salad Cream’s popularity.

  3. HEINZ • After looking at the history of the Heinz company and its ways of marketing and campaigns, we decided that our website would focus on promoting how HEINZ Salad Cream goes with every type of food. Aside from this we also decided to modernize it stepping away from the old fashioned ads. • We looked in shops to see how it is displayed. • Giving salad cream a celebrity status • We used Facebook and online surveys to see what people aged 18-29 like eating their salad cream with. This allowed us to come decide what recipes to have on our page.

  4. Website Research • Looked at other websites aimed at 18-29 year olds to see examples and what they have that could help with our development (layouts, style of writing, coloring etc.) • We looked at websites and products that have the same range and rival with Heinz (e.g. Hellman’s, supermarket value) to see how our site could be better. • Websites nowadays include vast interactivity for the viewers, gave ideas of Facebook's links, mini games and forums. • We used the survey results to target our recipes towards peoples favorite foods • We thought of making the product less old fashioned and more modern with our website.

  5. We researched ways to make viewers more involved and this led us to decide and invite them to give their own recipe suggestions. In order to do this we added a Facebook link. • We included a link to the Heinz Salad Cream Facebook page, where you can post your own recipes and find new ones. This will encourage you to try Heinz Salad Cream more, and overall enjoy a richer experience with it. You may even make some more friends! • We included the recipes on to our website to attract the viewers and consumers. • Include healthy eating information on the splash page to attract those interested in the benefits in losing weight as well as those who love salad cream.

  6. Making the Website • After meetings, debates and discussions of ideas we decided on a theme to appeal our product (Heinz Salad Cream) to our target audience. • Heinz Salad Cream has often been seen as a product which is for an older generation, so the purpose of our website is to make the product look attractive. • So we made a website to promote the product showing what it has to offer towards younger people.

  7. Our splash page focuses around the idea of Heinz Salad Cream being the “star of the show”. This invents a new look for the Salad Cream product, adding a zing to the traditional perspective which people recognize the product.
