  3. Implementation of the FTR • Public Law 107-228, “Security Assistance Act of 2002” • Requires filing of export information in AES • FTR was published on June 2, 2008 • FTR became effective on July 2, 2008 • Provisions implemented September 30, 2008 • Paper will no longer be an option
